About the School
Dublin has a wealth of culture (including a visit by the vikings!) and within eay walking distance of the school you can experience historic sites such as Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin Castle, Trinity College, The Guiness Storehouse and many many more including museums, theatres and galleries. Mixed in amongst all of these is modern Dublin including world class restaurants, cafés, shopping centres and pubs.
Courses on offer in International House, Dublin include General English, Exam preparation and Academic Year courses. The fantastic staff of International House are always on hand and you will meet them on your first day in the school.

Visas
Tourist Visa
- For courses of 2-12 weeks, you can enter Ireland on a Tourist Visa.
- This Visa is free, but you can’t work during your time in Ireland
- We recommend you bring €800 for each month you are here, to support yourself
Work and Study Visa
- Available to all non-EU students, you apply for this Visa after your arrival in Ireland
- This Visa costs €300, but gives you permission to work throughout your stay
- Work up to 20hours/week all year and 40hours/week during holiday periods (Dec-Jan, May-Aug)
- The Visa is very simple to obtain. You need:
- A return ticket to your country of origin
- A passport valid for 1 year
- Proof of €3000 to support yourself
- Proof of accommodation
- Proof of the English course, with 15hours/week minimum
- Medical Insurance
